Obituary

Kathleen Ann Orrick, age 73, of Orange City, Iowa, formerly of Dundee, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 in her home after a brief illness.
Kathleen was born August 3, 1950 in Monroe, Michigan, she was the daughter of Joseph Cler and Lola (Wright) Labert. She married John T. Orrick July 2, 1976, sadly he preceded her in death on August 21, 2013.
She was a 1969 graduate of Dundee High School and enjoyed making stain glass.
Kathy worked for Crete-Monee School district as a food service assistant.
She is survived by two daughters, Julie (Bernie) Knight of Hospers, IA and Cassandra (Jeff) Long of Fairview, SD; four siblings, Joe (Jackie) Labert, Jim (Debbie) Labert and Jerry (Darlene) Labert all of Dundee and Karen (Richard) Harmer of Petersburg; seven grandchildren, Heidi, Melissa, Trevor, Trey, Trent, Natalia and Mason and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Troy Roof-McGuire.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 12 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Deacon Michael Hammond will officiate and burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Deerfield, MI.
