Kathleen M. Barron, 78 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Oregon, Ohio.
Born May 5, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, Kathy was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Sophie (Pheiffer) Reau. Kathy was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, Michigan. She attended Mason Elementary School and was a 1961 graduate of Monroe High School.
On December 23, 1972 Kathy married her beloved husband John "Jack" W. Barron in Monroe. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 27, 1995 just shy of their 23rd wedding anniversary.
Kathy began her career in law enforcement as a Monroe County Deputy Sheriff and retired from the Sheriffs Department as a Detective after 25 years. While at the Sheriff Department she was involved with the OMNI Division and the Triad Division.
She was a member of the Robert A. Hutchinson FOP Lodge #113.
Kathy is survived by two loving children: Larry (Lucy) Weber, Jr. of Oregon, OH and Lisa M. Dussia of Luna Pier, MI, four cherished grandchildren: Patrick (Monique) Weber, Destiny (Matt) Dean, Nicholas Dussia, and Alexandrea Dussia, and five treasured great grandchildren: C.J., Paul, Liam, Luci, and Lukas.
In keeping with Kathy's wishes all services and interment were private. Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan assisted Kathy's family with funeral arrangements.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a hospice of the donors choice or Monroe County Meals on Wheels.
