June E. Turner, age 84 of Petersburg, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in her home.
Born August 27, 1938 in Monroe, June was the daughter of the late Tuble "Jack" and Gretchen (Jackson) Jennings. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1956 and married Clifford L. Turner on January 25, 1960 in Toledo, OH. Together they raised four children. He preceded June in death on April 2, 2012.
June was no stranger to work. During her life she had been employed by S.S. Kresge, B&M Manufacturing, Beach Nursing Home, Frenchtown Nursing Home, and Target. In her spare time, she enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, jig-saw puzzles, and visiting casinos.
June is survived by two sons, James (Lisa) Turner of Monroe and Clifford (Deanna) Turner of Petersburg; two daughters, Debbie Dusseau of Petersburg and Patricia (Gerald) Stotz of Ida; two brothers, Jerry (Josie) Jennings of Florida and Roger (Darlene) Jennings of Monroe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, June was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Donald Jennings, and a sister, Joyce Cassada.
Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of funeral at 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26th at Bacarella Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Laird will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
