Obituary

June Roberta (Parrott) Kimberlin passed away, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at home with her loving family by her side
June was born Aug 30,1926 in LaFollette, Tennessee. She was one of three children born to Onah and Mamie (Lynch) Parrott. June was a 1945 graduate of LaFollette High School.
On August 4, 1945 she married the love of her life, Clyde Kimberlin, in Jacksboro Tennessee. They cherished and loved each other for 57 years before his passing on December 9, 2002. When Dad passed away, he took a piece of Moms heart with him. Her faith, knowing she would be with him again, and loving her family helped her go on. She deeply loved her family and friends. She was always there for all of us. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great granddaughter always had a special place in her heart as they did for her. She had a special bond with her great great granddaughter Quinn. They knew they could always go to Grandma or Nana as she was called by the great children for extra loving.
June enjoyed going to church and was a member of Monroe Primitive Baptist Church, where she often cooked for different events. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Clyde and June enjoyed camping and fishing with family and their close friends Glenn and Veldia Gunter with whom they had a long, deep loving friendship until their passing. The four of them are together once again to continue that friendship.
Mom was an avid gardener, always spending time in the vegetable garden, flower garden, and working in her yard. She loved to can, so she could have her southern style vegetables that everyone loved for the Holidays. Mom also enjoyed her wild critters, as she called them, feeding the birds, squirrels, and anything else that came into the yard. She had the squirrels knocking on her windows and eating out of her hand. She will have a place in everyone's heart that she touched. Mom's legacy for all of us is to know she loved us all unconditionally and taught us to do the same. We want to thank my friend and mom's caregiver Paula for being there and loving mom. We could not have gotten through this without her. A special thank you to her hospice nurse Kelly, who was compassionate and caring.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Tilman and Carl Parrott, and a great granddaughter, Stoklee Gordon.
To cherish her memory, she leaves one son, Don (Joelyn) Kimberlin, a daughter, Ellen (John) Gordon, grandsons: Paul (Jaime) Kimberlin, Jamie (Tricia) Gordon, Jeff (Connie) Gordon, granddaughter, Regina (Tom) Glaszek, great granddaughter, Kayla, great grandsons: Gavin, Joshua, Owen, and Tyler and a great great granddaughter, Quinn.
We love you Mom and even though you aren't here we will always carry you in our hearts and remember your love.... Give everyone a big hug from us.
