Julian Herrera, age 57 a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI. passed away Sunday, December 03, 2006 at 10:28 AM in his home surrounded by his loving family. Julian was born February 17, 1949 in Toledo, OH. the son of Julian D. and Eva (Jaimes) Herrera. On October 28, 1986 Julian married Sharon A. King in Las Vegas, NV. Julian was employed as a Hi-Lo Driver for MACSTEEL since 1980. Prior to his employ at MACSTEEL Julian worked for La-Z-Boy Chair from 1968-1980. Julian was member of the Monroe Boat Club. Julian enjoyed car and antique street rod shows, he also enjoyed traveling. Julian is survived by his beloved wife Sharon, his dear mother Eva of Tecumseh, MI., 2 daughters; Rochelle L. (Larry) Dzienny of Toledo, OH and Kelly M. Herrera of Monroe, MI. 2 step sons; David L. (Kim) Rush and Scott M. Rush both of Monroe, MI. 4 cherished grandchildren, 4 brothers; Carlos (Evon) Herrera of Erie, MI., David (Mona) Herrera of Louisville, KY. Richard (Sheri) Herrera of Monroe, MI. and Lawrence (Shannon) Herrera of Athens, AL. 6 sisters; Mary (Joe) Garcia of Adrian, MI. Tencha Herrera of Adrian, MI. Lolly Juarez of Tecumseh, MI. Annie (Manuel) Valdez of Lambertville, MI. Olivia (Enrique) Perez of Lansing, MI. and Elida (Norman) Witaszek of Erie, MI. and a half brother Alex (Lydia) Ramos of Texas. Sadly, Julian was preceded in death by his father in April of 1986 and a brother Daniel Herrera. Visitation for Julian will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday and 12-8 PM on Wednesday in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating Julian's life will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. James Jacobs, Chaplain of Mercy Memorial Hospital will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
