Judy L. DeSloover, age 80, of Monroe, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 in her home under the care of Heart to Heart hospice.
Judy was born April 9, 1944 in Harrogate, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Oscar and Lucy (Burke) Lingar. She married Robert A. DeSloover August 13, 1966 in Monroe.
She was a 1962 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Bible Fellowship Church.
Judy loved her family and taking care of them. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, baking, collecting cookbooks and trying any recipe that caught her eye. She also liked to read, especially Danielle Steel books.
Judy played softball on leagues in Monroe for several years; playing for Monroe Royals, Goodnough Plumbettes, Runyon Carpet, Dahl Builders and Tiffany's Pizza. In the colder months she could be found bowling.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bob; a son, Jeff R. (Pam) DeSloover of Monroe; four siblings, Opal Kohler of Carleton, Bill (Jearldean) Lingar of Carleton, Don (Nancy Jones) Lingar of Carleton and Ted Lingar of Chicago, IL; brother-in-law, Chuck (Darlene) DeSloover of Toledo and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings: Jerry Dye, Wilma Vore and Annette Price.
In accordance with Judy's wishes private services and interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park. Bacarella Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
