Judy A. Cvetkovich, 81 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Born August 18, 1940 in Monroe, Judy was the daughter of the late Richard D. and Margaret L. (Hoffman) Thompson. She attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1960 graduate of Monroe High School.
In November of 1960 she married Kenneth I. Payne. On June 15, 1985, Judy then married Michael J. Cvetkovich at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Sadly, Michael preceded her in death on January 14, 2014 after 28 years of marriage.
Judy worked at Ford Motor Company's Monroe Plant for 20 years. She retired in 1991. She was also a wonderful homemaker.
Judy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Thrift Shop of Monroe. She enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. Most of all Judy enjoyed time spent with family.
Judy is survived by five loving children: Randy Payne of Tennessee, Janell Payne of Florida, Martin Payne of Ohio, Michelle Cvetkovich of Monroe, and Marcia Redford of Monroe, a brother, Gerald (Donna) Thompson of Monroe, nine cherished grandchildren, 14 treasured great grandchildren and one precious great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband Michael, Judy was preceded in death by a son Mark Cvetkovich on February 8, 2018.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, beginning at 1:00 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where funeral services celebrating Judy's life will be held that afternoon at 4:00 pm. Deacon Michael Stewart will officiate. Private interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judy's name are suggested to the Thrift Shop of Monroe.
