Judith "Judy" (Cvengros) Gagne, 78 of Monroe, left us to be with our Lord on December 26,2022 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital with family by her side. She was diagnosed with cancer and fought with everything she had, she recently had pneumonia and influenza.
Born on July 19, 1944 to the late William and Alice (McCleary) Cvengros, the world became a brighter place. She married her late husband Tony Gagne at St. Charles Catholic Church in Newport, together they raised their 3 daughters who she leaves behind, Tracy (Jay) Arntzen of Marrietta Ga., Andi (Allan) Woggon of Erie, Mi, and Patricia (Chad) Dubke of Newport, MI. Her Grandchildren will always cherish their memories with Grandma Jude. Josh, Jared Mason Arntzen, Carl (Cassie) Woggon, Shelby and Connor Dubke. Also surviving are her loving sister Joann Minney, her loving in-laws Janice Gagne Trudeau, Rick (Linda) Gagne, John (Marilyn) Gagne, Denise "Dee Dee" (Ron) Vore, Mary Dolores (Dola) Gagne, Linda Gagne, Chris Cvengros, and many nieces, nephews and their families that knew her as CRAZY Aunt Judy. She was crowned Miss Woodland Beach as a beautiful teenage girl.
She made her home with Tony in Newport, Mancelona, and was a snowbird in Fort Myers Fl.
Judy worked at Candy Beach Lounge, Joe's French Italian, before starting her career at Ford Motor Company plant on the bumper line in 1972. She was then elected as a Committee Person, she served the membership with all her heart. After 30 years she retired in 2002. While living in Mancelona she waitressed at the Sugar Bowl in Gaylord and at Settings in Lakes of the North. She made many new friends while enjoying serving them.
She had many hobbies throughout her life, cooking was among them and everyone she fed received a smile with their meal. Crocheting, snowmobiling, boating, playing cards, bingo, boccie ball, puzzles diamond dots and being poolside were just a few. Craft Club with the ladies at Sun and Fun has been a priority of the hobbies. The one she probably enjoyed the most was Leg wrestling, she took on many and beat all but one (you know who you are).
Wherever she went she made lifelong friends. Her memberships were at St. Annes Catholic Church, she praised the Lord every chance she could, lifetime member at Swan Boat Club, Local 723, The Moose Fort Myers, Fl. Sun and Fun mobile home park where she served as Craft Club President.
She Attended St. Joe's parish in Monroe for grade school and Jefferson High School (class of 1963). She believed in finishing what you start even though she didn't graduate with her class. After 50 YEARS she worked hard and earned her diploma in 2013. It was one of her greatest accomplishments, we were all so proud of her. If you knew Judy you knew determination, hard work and most of all, Love. She Loved her family and friends unconditionally.
