Judith Ann Duvall, 63, of Monroe, passed away peacefully at 9:58 AM, Monday, September 10, 2007, in her aunt's home, Mary Griffin, she had put up a valiant fight against cancer for the last 3 years. She was born February 2, 1944 in Monroe, MI to Russell and Jeanette (Hunter) Soncrant. A 1962 graduate of Monroe High School, she married Thomas Duvall on October 3, 1964 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Monroe. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 1978. A lifetime resident of the Monroe area, she at one time had lived in Temperance and Ida before returning to Monroe in 1986. The YMCA in Monroe employed Judith for about 10 years before retiring in 2004. Judith is survived by her loving children, Noel Duvall and Christine Duvall, a sister, Pat Gibson, aunts and uncles, Mary (Carl) Griffin and Maxine (Glen) Morgan, all of Monroe, and an aunt, Alice Hunter of Sylvania, OH. Friends may call Wednesday at the Bacarella Funeral Home from 1-8 PM; a service commemorating her life will take place at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 PM, the Rev. Roy Southerland of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Memorial contributions in Judith's name can be made to the Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
