Joyce M. Worrell, age 74 of Monroe, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
Born April 11, 1950 in Toledo, OH, Joyce was the daughter of the late John and Edna (Lowry) Brock. On April 8, 1969 she married Gerald D. Worrell in Monroe. Together they raised nine children. Sadly, he preceded Joyce in death on August 2, 2002.
Joyce cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially enjoying their company around the Christmas Holiday Season. She often stated she was blessed with the greatest children ever! She also enjoyed long car rides, traveling, and had a fondness for birds, cardinals and flamingos being her favorites.
Joyce is survived by 8 beloved children: Tina (David) Clark, Linda Worrell, Gerri (Brian) Paules, Clint Worrell, Ross (Monique) Worrell, Lena Worrell, Dawn Worrell, and Lora Worrell; 7 siblings: William Brock, Patricia (Joe) English, Shirley Baer, Janie (Bruce) Brock, Kathy Gaines, Robert Brock, and Anna Brock; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded by a son, Brad Worrell and a sister, Rose Mary Brock.
Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21st at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Raines, pastor of Monroe Full Gospel will officiate followed by burial at Whiteford Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family politely requests memorial donations be made to Geraldine Paules (6350 Ave. F, LaSalle, MI 48145) to assist with funeral expenses.
