Obituary

Joshua James Volpi, age 38, of Clinton Twp., formerly of Monroe, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025 in his home.
Joshua was born April 23, 1987 in Monroe, he was the son of Joseph R. and Helen M. (Scznsny) Volpi.
Josh was a 2005 graduate of Monroe High School. He loved being outdoors deer hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing and mushroom hunting. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan football and Detroit Red Wing hockey. He enjoyed attending many of these games with his boys. He enjoyed going shopping, especially for shoes. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a great hockey player and played A for Toledo Jr Storm and AAA for the Michigan Wolverines. He enjoyed attending his nephews hockey games where we could coach from the stands.
He was self-employed running his own company, Top Finish Concrete Company. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the concrete business. He had also worked out of Union Local 1191 where he helped build the new Red Wings Little Caesars Arena.
He recently bought his first home and called it his "little house" on Nicke Street which he was so proud to tell his sister, Nikki.
He is survived by his parents Joe and Helen Volpi of Lambertville; sister Nicole (Brian) Hall of Sylvania; nieces and nephews, Lenon, London, Emmy and Elliana and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also considered many of his best friends' children to be family and will remember him as Uncle Joshy; Isiah, Riley, Connyr, Gabriel, R.J, Avery, Parker, Giovanni, Luciano, and Carmine.
He is preceded in death by a half-brother, Joseph Volpi, grandparents, Joseph and Patricia Scznsny, Joseph and Arletta Volpi.
Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 12 noon until a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. The family encourages everyone to wear their Lion's gear to the funeral home. Deacon Michael Stewart will officiate and private interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
