Joseph E. Seabolt, age 72 of Monroe, MI passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 2:23 PM in the emergency room at Mercy Memorial Hospital. Joe had been in poor health for several years. Joe was born April 5, 1935 in Tiprell, TN the son of the late Emmet and Eula (Givens) Seabolt. On September 14, 1957 Joe married Geraldine Norton in Monroe, Sadly she passed away on April 6, 2001. Joe worked for Conrail in Detroit for many years as a crane operator retiring in 1991. Joe enjoyed NASCAR, playing cards, watching sports on television and his dog Jigger. Joe is survived by his beloved children, Gregory J. Seabolt of Monroe, MI and Kimberly Ann (Mark) Maddox of Dundee, MI, his cherished granddaughters Jennifer, Traci, Staci and Mindy and his cherished great grandchildren, Logan, Damien and Kalynn, 3 sisters, Lucille (Doyle) Crigger of Middlesboro, KY, June Phillips of Lake Charles, LA, and Linda (Herschel) Rice of Cumberland Gap, TN. In addition to his wife and parents Joe was preceded in death by his son James Seabolt. Visitation for Joe will be held on Thursday from 2-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Daniel Cuffle pastor of Trenton Assembly of God Church in Trenton, MI will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
