Joseph L. Manger, age 81, of Monroe, passed away February 19, 2025 in his home. Joe and his twin brother, John, were born February 1, 1944, he was the son of Michael and Orleana (Montri) Manger.
He attended St. John Grade School and was a 1962 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School.
Joe worked for more than 40 years for Ford Motor Company, Monroe Plant as a machine repairman.
Joe was a life member of Knights of Columbus Council 1266, Monroe and sold tootsie rolls every year for the Goodfellows fund raiser. He enjoyed boating and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed traveling especially when the destination was a warmer climate. He is survived by two brothers, his twin, John (Margaret) Manger of Monroe and James (Boo-Soon "Mickey") Manger of Bowling Green, FL; several nieces and nephews and their families. He also had many close friends that he considered family. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Phil Manger, Marvel Felder and Mike Manger. In accordance with Joe's wishes cremation has taken place. The family would welcome all of Joe's friends and family to a celebration of his life on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Knight of Columbus Councill 1266 Hall, 202 West Front Street, Monroe, MI 48161. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe at a later date. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
