John M. (Johnnie) Seals, 54 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Wm. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. John was born March 16, 1955 in Middlesboro, KY the son of the late John E. and Peggy J. (Barnard) Seals. John's family moved to Monroe when he was a child. John attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1973 graduate of Monroe High School. John furthered his education receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Toledo University and his MBA with honors from Indiana University. On July 27, 1974 in Monroe, John married his beloved wife the former Robyn A. Harris. John was the Vice President of Operations for Diamond Electric in Dundee, MI from which he took a medical retirement in January of 2000. A devout Christian, John was a Charter Member of Heritage Baptist Church in Monroe. John enjoyed spending time with friends and family. John is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Robyn, his loving twin children; Stephen J. Seals of Monroe and Suzanne J. (Benjamin) Liedel of Maybee, his sister whom he adored; Janie K. (Tom) Woelmer of Monroe and his cherished grandson Carson John – Timothy Liedel. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his grandparents; Orville and Eppie (Rowe) Seals and William Tyler and Bessie (Reece) Barnard. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3-8 PM and Sunday from 12-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe. On Monday, July 27, 2009 he will lie instate at 10:00 AM in Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church, 8278 N. Dixie Hwy. in Newport, MI where funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 AM. John's dear friend the Rev. Larry Head pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be given to Heritage Baptist Church Building Fund or to the American Juvenile Diabetes Association.
