John Thomas Morrow, 66, of Toledo, OH, formerly of Monroe, passed away at 10:31 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital, Toledo. Visitation will be held at the Bacarella Funeral Home on Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 12 PM until a Home going Celebration at 1 PM, with the Rev. Carl J. Curry, pastor of the New Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church, Detroit, officiating. He will then be taken to Memphis, TN for a final Home Going Celebration on Saturday at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Oakland, TN. John, born August 7, 1941 to the late Dan and Mabel (McCulley) Morrow in Oakland, TN. He married the late Clemmyestene "Stene" Boswell on February 14, 1965 in Memphis, TN, to which two children were born, Tawonia L. and Darrell T. He was also the father of two other daughters, Sandra Crawford and Tonia Taylor. The family moved to Monroe in 1970. John retired from Detroit Stoker, Monroe, in 2005, after 35 years of service. After retirement, John enjoyed spending time with his wife of 42 years, until the Lord called her to rest, his children, and especially his grandchildren. John loved to travel, especially to Memphis, TN to visit with all of his family and friends. John also had a special love for Pastor Curry and supported him at New Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church. John touched the lives of so many people in their time of need. He will be missed by so many. "Now he's back together with his wife." John is survived by his four children, Cassandra Crawford, Hampton, VA, Tonia Taylor, Memphis, TN, Darrell T. Morrow, Monroe, MI, and Tawonia L Toledo, OH, four sisters, Lela Gray Earzall Williams, Memphis, TN, Annie L Russell and Georgia Jones, Monroe, MI, and a brother, Joseph Morrow, Memphis, TN. He was sadly preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 42 years, on Saturday, January 19, 2008, a brother, Willie Morrow, and two sisters, Aline and Emma Morrow.
