John S. Miracle Jr., 58, of Monroe, passed away at 9:25 AM, Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Tendercare of Monroe, where he had been for a day. He had been in poor health for several years and seriously ill for about the last year. He was born March 16, 1949 in Trenton, MI. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-72. A lifetime resident of the area, he married Janet Lynn Dusseau on March 18, 1972 in Monroe, he worked for the Chrysler Corporation, first at the Trenton Engine Plant, then in Auburn Hills where he tested engines. John enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, watching westerns, and was a John Wayne fan. He also was a life member of the VFW Post #4093, Carleton. He is survived by his wife, son, Christopher J. of Monroe, daughter, Rebecca Miracle of Monroe, 2 brothers, David (Sharon) of Detroit and Terry (Yvette) of Taylor, sisters, Ruth Creger of Brooklyn, MI, Carol (Richard) Brown of Carleton, Sharon (Kenny) Hurst of Rockwood, Lou (Cecil) Vance of Carleton, Dawn LaBoe of Carleton, and grandchildren, Lacy Miracle and Ethan Edinger. Sadly, his son, Johnnie, mother and stepfather, Broda (Barbara) Mullins, and grandparents all preceded him in death. Friends may call 1-8 PM Sunday at the Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 PM Monday with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Dunn of First Baptist Church, Monroe, officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle under the auspices of the VFW Post #4093, Carleton. Memorial gifts in his name may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
