Jody Lee Reece, 27 years of Newport, MI passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 in Detroit, MI. Jody was born January 18, 1980 in Monroe, MI the son Drewry C. and Sharon Lee (Burt) Reece Jr. Jody was a 1998 graduate of Jefferson High School where he played football. While at Jefferson, Jody won an academic letter and won 1st place in the Michigan Industrial Technology Education Awards. Jody was a self employed builder and worked for Pulte Homes as a crane operator in Detroit. Jody enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with family and friends. Jody is survived by his beloved mother Sharon Lee Reece of E. Tawas, MI, 3 loving brothers; John D. Reece of E. Tawas, MI, Allen "Jeff" Reece of Dundee, MI and David W. (Mary) Reece of Monroe, MI. 4 loving sisters; Joan (Ron) Earls of Monroe, MI, Connie Watson of Monroe, MI, Ronda Burt of Newport, MI and Jessica Reece of E. Tawas, MI. 11 nieces and nephews. Sadly Jody was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents; Drewry C. and Virtle Reece and Marvin L. and Marcella Burt. Visitation for Jody will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, Wednesday from 12-8 PM and Thursday from 12-2 PM in The Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Kevin Hosch pastor of Monroe Apostolic Church will officiate. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
