Joan G. Fisher, age 81 of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in her home.
Born July 10, 1943 in Maybee, MI, Joan was the daughter of the late Delton and Nadine (Frost) Dennis. On October 22, 1960, she married Julius E. Fisher at St. Anne's Catholic Church and together they raised three children. Sadly, he passed away on December 4, 2006.
Joan was employed for approximately 15 years as a nurse's assistant at the I.H.M. Motherhouse and for many years, she was a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant. She enjoyed the company of a close group of friends, spending time playing cards and gardening.
Joan is survived by her children, Julius (Lori) Fisher, Jr. of Monroe, Keith Fisher of Monroe, and Tara (Kendan Myers) Roe of Ida, MI: two brothers, James (Cheri) Dennis of Monroe and Larry (Pam) Dennis of Ida; six grandchildren: Zach (Sara) Fisher, Bailey Rowe, Hannah (Adam) Southerland, Bryan (Johanna) Fisher, Rocco Roe, and Piper Roe; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Bolster.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1st at Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Tim Iocoangeli, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate followed by burial at London Twp. Cemetery, Milan, MI.
