Jessie P. Boitnott, age 94 of Monroe, MI. passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 11:20 AM in the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Knoxville, TN. Where she has been since November of 2005. Jessie was born March 3, 1912 in Grainger County, TN the daughter of the late William M. and Effie (Steadman) Jarnigan. Jessie moved to Monroe in 1935 from Grainger County. On November 21, 1946 Jessie married Wayne L. Boitnott in Monroe. Sadly he passed away October 9, 2005. A homemaker, Jessie worked as a paper maker for Consolidated Paper Company. Jessie also managed the dining room at the Park Hotel and worked at Kmart as the deli manager. Jessie was a charter member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Jessie enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, gardening and traveling. Jessie is survived by her beloved son and daughter in law Billy R. and Barbara Daniel of Knoxville, TN. 5 cherished grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Evelyn Ballard. Jessie's family will receive friends in the Bacarella Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 from 12 noon until funeral services celebrating her life at 2:00 PM. The Rev. William R. Baltrip pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
