Jerry A. Cole Sr., age 62 a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI. passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 6:59 AM in Mercy Memorial Hospital. Jerry had been in poor health for several years. Jerry was born January 3, 1945 in Monroe, MI. the son of the late George Camel and Addie Cleo (Gray) Cole. On October 21, 1963 in Monroe, MI. Jerry married Helen Turner. Jerry worked as a laborer in the Monroe area for Leake Stamping, Consolidated Paper Co. and Union Camp. Jerry was in several different pool leagues where he enjoyed shooting pool. Jerry also enjoyed fishing, walking, bicycling, and lifting weights. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Helen, 3 loving children; Tommy A. Cole, Jerry A. Cole Jr. and Elizabeth C. (Paul) Duvall all of Monroe. 2 brothers; Malcolm (Grace) Cole and George (Sandra) Cole both of Monroe. 8 cherished grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Jerry was preceded in death by his brother Orville Cole and his sister Alberta Haynes. Visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
