Obituary

Jeremiah Durand McBee, 39, of Monroe, passed away Friday February 10th at Henry Ford Hospital with loved ones by his side. Jeremiah was born on March 14, 1983 in Monroe, Michigan to Jeff and Nancy (Barron) McBee. He graduated from Monroe High School in 2001.
On February 4th, 2022, Jeremiah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was lucky to receive a stem cell transplant on May 23rd from his perfect match brother, Jacob. Unfortunately, his cancer returned in the beginning of December, and he chose to spend the last months of his life at home with family and friends. Before he passed, Jeremiah was fortunate to marry his love, Sydney Smith on December 9th in front of those closest to him.
Jeremiah worked as an Excavator at his family business, McBee Trucking & Excavation. He was skilled at remodeling houses and even built a house by himself. His biggest accomplishment in life was being a dad to his beautiful daughter Chloe. He was a total girl dad that would let her paint his nails, have tea & dance parties with her and spent most of their time playing outside in their yard. He enjoyed watching Michigan football and had season tickets watching the Lions with his dad and brother. His friends and family would describe him as a kind caring soul that cherished his family. Those closest to him know he would do anything for anyone.
Sadly, he was proceeded in death by his grandparents Cletus and Lorraine Barron. Jeremiah is survived by his wife, Sydney McBee; Daughter Chloe McBee; Parents; Jeff & Nancy McBee; 2 Siblings Jessica (Scot) Chaffin and Jacob (Jessica) McBee; 2 nieces Addison and Dillan Chaffin; and 1 nephew Luca McBee; In-laws: Phil & Melissa Smith & Brother in-law Josh Smith.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Henry Ford Hospital – Cancer Institute for the amazing care they provided for Jeremiah and his family.
