Jeanette R. (Woelmer) Kegler, age 80, of Monroe, MI. passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 5:45 PM at Manor by the Sea in Ocean Grove, NJ. A life long resident of Monroe, Jeanette moved to New Jersey in December of 2005. Jeanette was born February 18, 1926 in Monroe, MI the daughter of the late Walter and Lena (Luft) Woelmer. After her graduation from Monroe High School Jeanette went on to work for the Detroit Edison Company, The Citizen Budget Company and the Monroe County Library System. On February 28, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church Jeanette married Harold "Buzz" Kegler, sadly he preceded her in death on January 31, 1998. Jeanette was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church, a member of The Monroe Thrift Shop Association, Mobile Meals, Mercy Memorial Hospital Guild and the Monroe Golf and Country Club. Jeanette is survived by 3 loving children; Janice M. (Bill) Knight of Ocean Grove, NJ, Donald L. (Sally) Kegler of Hilo, HI and Brian W. (Joan) Kegler of San Diego, CA. 3 cherished grandchildren and 3 cherished great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Jeanette was preceded in death by her sister. Visitation for Jeanette will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life 11:30 AM at Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Gary Tryggestad and Rev. Ross William Ulrich pastors of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Private interment services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
