James L. Liparoto, age 74 of Monroe, passed away Tuesday at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania.
Jimmy was born August 8, 1946, in Monroe, he was the son of Lieber and Phyllis (Bacarella) Liparoto.
He attended Lincoln Elementary School and Monroe High School. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Monroe, where he was baptized and confirmed.
Jimmy worked at Meijer and Goodwill for many years. He enjoyed drawing and loved meeting new people, he had a gift for remembering people's names.
He is survived by his sister, Phyllis (Thomas) St. Bernard of Monroe; niece and nephews, Melissa Grabitz, Bryan (Mary Katherine) St. Bernard and Nicholas (Kellie) St. Bernard; great nieces and nephews, Felicia, Johnathon, Mia, Rocco, Giovanni, Thea and Wesley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl Liparoto.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 7 p.m. Friday at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe. Private services and burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
