James R. Dines, 76 years, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Monroe, MI, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 at 10:28 AM in his home. Jim had been in poor health for 2 years. Jim was born June 13, 1931 in Flat Rock, MI the son of the late Chester and Alice (Seilhymer) Dines. On November 20, 1951 Jim married Betty L. Smock in Monroe. Sadly she preceded him in death on January 9, 1997. Jim worked as a Hi Lo driver for Tecumseh Products for 34 years retiring in 1985. In 1986 Jim and Betty moved to Ocala, FL. Jim is survived by his loving children; Diane L. Grummel of Newport, MI, Timothy J. Dines of OH, Martin C. Dines of FL and Mary M. (Edward) Taylor of Ocala, FL, his sister Eleanor Ridner of Monroe, MI and his son in law Daniel Louks of S. Rockwood, MI, 15 cherished grandchildren and numerous cherished great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents Jim was preceded in death by a son Daniel A. Dines, a daughter Bonnie Louks, a grandson William Wilson, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Visitation for Jim will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Kim Semran will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, MI
