James H. Boedicker, age 78, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. Jim had been in the hospital and in poor health for 3 weeks. Jim was born May 6, 1930 in Monroe the son of the late Martin and Margarite (Lockwood) Boedicker. On November 5, 1949 in Dundee, MI Jim married his beloved wife the former Roberta Jacobs. Sadly she preceded him on January 4, 1985. Jim spent 26 years as a School Bus Driver for Monroe Public Schools from which he retired in 1992. Jim is survived by 5 loving children; Dennis J. (Melody) Boedicker of Grass Lake, MI, Kathleen R. (Terry) Pirkle of Deerfield, MI, Sharleen Y. Clark of Toledo, OH, Coleen M. Keck of Temperance, MI and Denise J. England of Monroe, 1 sister; Thelma Moyer of Monroe, 10 cherished grandchildren and 12 treasured great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Jim was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Thomas Frantz of Blissfield Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
