Jacqueline “Jackie” A. Tucker of Monroe passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026 in her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Monroe, Jackie was the daughter of the late Melvin and Lelia (D’Alessandri) Smith. She was a member of the Monroe High School Class of 1969.
She married Eugene McKart and raised three children. She later married James Daniel Tucker on March 25, 1989 in Virginia. He preceded Jackie in death on September 29, 2020.
Jackie was employed by Ford Motor Company for over 31 years. She worked as an assembler and on the launch team at the Monroe plant and at a plant in Virginia where she formerly resided for 30 years before retiring in 2004.
Jackie was a member of the Monroe VFW Post 1138 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Jackie is survived by her children, Zena (Scott) Davidson, Bronco McKart, and Matt (Hadley) McKart, all of Monroe; two step-children, Susan (Walter) Garcia of Tampa, FL and Margie Johnson of Richmond, VA; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Dan, Jackie was also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Carol Thompson, Melvin “Chip” Smith, and Richard “Ricky” Smith.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26th at Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Roy Southerland, Pastor of Lambertville Community Church will officiate. Following the funeral, burial will be privately attended by the family at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests supporting Heartland Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
