Obituary

Jack A. Maniaci, 75 years, of LaSalle, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in his home.
Born May 22, 1949 in Monroe, Jack was the son of Anthony J. and Evelyn M. (Cibak) Maniaci. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Church in Monroe. Jack attended St. Joseph Elementary School and was a 1968 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School. While at Catholic Central, he wrestled and was on the track and field team. After high school Jack attended Monroe County Community College and took classes in art and drafting. He later went back to MCCC, where he received his certificate as a CNC Machinist.
Jack was employed as a CNC Machinist at Detroit Stoker Company in Monroe for 30 years, retiring in 2012.
In his younger years, Jack enjoyed riding his Harley and bodybuilding. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin in Curtisville.
Jack is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn of Monroe, three sons: Steven M. Maniaci of Allen Park, Daniel A. (Michelle Blair) Maniaci of Monroe, and Patrick J. Maniaci of Allen Park, four grandchildren and three siblings: Sharon M. (Leon) Bellner of LaSalle, Michael J. Maniaci of Monroe, and Samuel S. (Katie) Maniaci of Erie.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-7 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161. On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, he will lie instate at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, Michigan beginning at 10:00 am, where Mass of the Resurrection celebrating Jack's life will begin at 11:00 am. Fr. Louis Lapeyre will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
