Jack A. Grippi, 28 years, of Monroe, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 8:00 PM in Mercy Memorial Hospital.
Born June 12, 1985 in Monroe, Jack was the son of Salvatore "Sam" and Angela M. (Furnari) Grippi. Jack attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 2003 graduate of Monroe High School.
Jack was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe.
Jack worked as a painter for Cavalier Painting. Jack enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by his loving dad: Sam Grippi of Monroe, a caring sister: Mary L. Grippi of Louisville, KY, a caring brother: Joseph S. Grippi of Monroe, a cherished nephew: Alexzandyr, beloved grandparents: Lucia Furnari of Monroe and Maria and Joseph Grippi of Borghetto, Sicily, Italy, two uncles Frank Furnari of Alma, MI and Vito (Amy) Furnari of Waterford, MI.
Sadly, Jack was preceded in death by his beloved mother Angela M. Grippi on April 3, 2009 and his grandfather Giacomo "Jack" Furnari on November 20, 2008.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161, where a Rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM. On Tuesday, August 13, 2013 he will lie in state at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until Mass of The Resurrection celebrating his life at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe. ?
