Irene Boguth, 86 years, of Sterling Heights, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 9:40 AM in Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center in Monroe, MI.
Born November 28, 1924 in Monessen, PA, Irene was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Alloy) Juliano. On August 8, 1942 in Detroit, MI, Irene married her beloved husband Frank N. Boguth. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 9, 2008 after 65 years of marriage.
A homemaker, Irene also worked outside the home at Sander's in Detroit. Irene enjoyed gardening and keeping her garden neat and tidy by pulling weeds.
Irene is survived by her loving son Frank N. Boguth of Monroe, MI, 2 cherished grandchildren; Frank Boguth and Michael (Andrea) Boguth and 6 treasured great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Irene was preceded in death by a sister Rosemary and 2 brothers; Giacomo and Louis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Fr. William Fisher, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe will officiate. Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI.
