Herman "Butch" Shaw Jr. 57 years of Lincoln Park, MI. formerly of Monroe, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 8:10 PM in Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn, MI. He had been in poor health since 2002. Herman was born November 25, 1949 in Detroit, MI. the son of the late Herman and Bernice (King) Shaw Sr. He was a 1967 graduate of Eastern High School, Deroit. On August 31, 1988 Herman married his beloved wife Patricia A. Lee in Monroe, MI. Herman worked as a shipping supervisor for The Oakwood Group in Dearborn, MI. for 5 years before his retirement in 2002. Herman was a member of St. Paul's A.M.E. Church in Detroit, MI. and the Rail Splitter Athletic Club in Lincoln Park, MI. Herman enjoyed automobiles and detailing them, traveling, playing cards, bar-b-queuing and music. Herman is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, his loving son Marc Anthony Shaw at Home, 4 loving daughters; Arlinda L. (Arthur) McCray of Monroe, MI, Krista O. Lee of Monroe, MI, Pamela Shaw and Renee' Nicole Shaw both of Detroit, MI., 3 brothers; Raymond (Vanessa) Shaw of TN. And Larnell and Darnell Shaw both of Detroit, MI, 4 sisters; Bobbie, Alwanso, Allena, and Lorraine Shaw all of Detroit, MI. and 11 cherished grandchildren. In addition to his parents Herman was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation for Herman will be held Saturday, February 3, 2007 from 11 – 1 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will begin at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Alfred Overstreet of Evangelistic Ministry will officiate. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery in Monroe.
