Herbert W. "Herb" Shaw, age 78, of Fort Mohave, AZ, formerly of Monroe, passed away September 28, 2022.
Herb was born November 15, 1943 in Monroe, he was the son of George Dent and Doris Naomi (Allen) Shaw.
He attended Monroe High School before joining the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 to serve his country from 1960 to 1964.
Herb worked at Ford Motor Company Monroe Plant as an inspector before his retirement in 2001 he then moved to Fort Mohave, AZ.
He was a member of the Detroit Beach Boat Club and enjoyed camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Angel Shaw and Herbert Shaw; two stepchildren, Patty Fall and Kelly Gasaway; three grandchildren, Rainelynn Shaw, Chloe Shaw, Jeremy (Shalamer) Shaw and three great grandchildren; five siblings, Millie Daniels, John Shaw, Edward Shaw, June Housch and Barbara Inman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Shaw, and five brothers, Butch, Dave, Kenny, Paul and Tuffy.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 202 W. Front St., Monroe.
