Henrietta E. Van Duser, age 94, of Monroe, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family.
Born September 16, 1928 in Maybee, Michigan, Henrietta was the daughter of the late William and Marie (Scheich) Parran. She attended Baum and St. Joseph Elementary Schools in Maybee.
Henrietta married the love of her life, Leo H. Van Duser on September 16, 1944 in Monroe.
Henrietta was employed at Beach Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 2004.
She enjoyed reading, birdwatching, spending time with family and shopping with her sisters.
To cherish her memory Henrietta is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jim) St. Pierre of Monroe; grandson, Jim (Nicole) St. Pierre of West Melbourne, FL; granddaughter, Christy St. Pierre of Monroe; two great granddaughters, Paige St. Pierre and Reece St. Pierre both of West Melbourne, FL and a sister-in-law, Janet Parran of Erie.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, an infant granddaughter, Melissa M. St. Pierre; five brothers, Arthur, Anthony, James, William, Jr. and Richard Parran; three sisters, Lucille Smith, Mildred Kuehnlein and Betty Bashaw.
Family and friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Deacon Michael Stewart of St. Mary's Church officiating. Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery, Maybee.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
