Helen Weeman, 93, of Monroe, passed away at 2:40 AM Saturday, March 31, 2007 in the Mercy Memorial Hospital, where she had been since Wednesday. She was born January 21, 1914 in Duquesne, PA to John and Rose (Balent) Sabota. She came to Monroe with her family in 1931 from Farmington, WV. On June 19, 1937 she married Harold W. Weeman at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Monroe. Sadly, he preceded her in death September 22, 1988. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and it's Women's' Society, and the Mercy Memorial Hospital Guild. She enjoyed flower gardening and yard work. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce (Marvin) Camburn of Scottsdale, AZ and Barbara Shipsky of Monroe, brothers, Joseph Sabota of LaSalle and Victor Bellis of Kenneth City, FL, a sister, Marie McRill of Niles, OH, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Four sisters, Margaret Annabel, Joann Foster, Rose Aldrich, and Betty Mullin also preceded her in death. Friends may call 4-8 PM Monday at the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday. The Rev. Evans C. Bentley of St. Paul's United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial park. Memorial gifts in her name may be given to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
