Helen L. "Penny" Cheap, 80 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. Penny was born June 20, 1928 in Jackson, OH the daughter of the late Frank and Laura A. (Burt) Cheap. Penny graduated from high school while still living in Jackson. Penny worked at the State Bar, the Woodbury Bar and at Milton King's. Penny enjoyed painting and fishing. Penny is survived by her son Stanley O. Cheap of Monroe, her granddaughter Avery Cheap of Monroe, and 2 sisters Betty White and Ruth Rorke both of Monroe. In addition to her parents Penny was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Graveside services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 9:00 AM in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
