Hazel (Williamson) Carroll, age 88 of Toledo, formerly of Monroe, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Flower Hospital, Sylvania.
Hazel was born May 24, 1934 in Speedwell, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Ellen (Harris) Williamson. She married Wiley Carroll, Jr. January 27, 1951, he preceded her in death.
She attended Monroe High School and enjoyed bird watching, reading and watching old western movies, especially John Wayne movies.
Hazel is survived by her six children, Sandra Bellestri-Horn of Dearborn Heights, Roger (Carla) Carroll of Newark, OH, Patty (Jim) Vasquez of Toledo, Jenifer Watson of Arizona, Jeanette Gomes of California and Kimberly Carroll of California, a sister, Louise Niekirk of Tennessee, 18 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, Lily, Clyde, Claude, James, Taylor, Marie and Mary; a son-in-law, Douglas Horn; a daughter-in-law, Angie Carroll; three grandchildren, Shaun Carroll, Barry Bellestri and Shane Carroll; two great grandchildren, Zachary Meyer and Chelsea Bellistri.
Visitation will be Monday February 6, 2023 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
