Harvey Wayne Richards, age 14 of Dundee, MI, sadly passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 due to injuries he sustained in a vehicular accident.

Harvey was born on July 26, 2011 in Ann Arbor, MI. He was approaching his sophomore year as a student at Dundee High School where he was a member of the golf team.

In addition to his passion for golf, Harvey enjoyed fishing, cooking, bowling, pickleball, campfires and camping, bike riding, watching a good thunderstorm, and going to the gym. He loved a good steak dinner, seafood, sushi, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Harvey possessed a playful personality. He enjoyed making people laugh and smile and had that little “Harvey smirk” that he was known for. He could light up a room and be the life of the party without even trying. You could count on him to be there for his friends and family, and was a protective brother to his siblings, even the older ones.

Harvey is survived by his parents, Matthew and Krista Richards of Dundee, MI; four siblings: Molly ( fiancé Ashton Piper) Cousino of Milan, MI, Joseph (Payton Spaulding) Cousino of Dundee, MI, Darcie Richards of Dundee, MI, and Emmett Richards of Dundee, MI; grandparents: Randy and Lynn Richards of Lincoln Park, MI and Jeanie Richards of Brownstown, MI; aunts and uncles: Brian and Kelli Richards and their son Travis, Denise Lambert, Scott and Shirl Sims.

Harvey was preceded in death by grandparents, Clayton and Audrey Sims, and great-grandfather, Wayne Richards.

A celebration of Harvey’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 4th at the Dundee Golf Club. All are welcome to visit and share memories from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow.
