Gloria Ann Stiffler, age 93 of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 19, 1932 in London Township, MI, Gloria was the daughter of the late Daniel and Leola (Bressler) Hoffman. After graduating from Monroe High School, she married Robert D. Stiffler on November 29, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee, MI. Together they raised two daughters. Sadly, he passed away a year ago on January 22, 2025.
After marrying Bob, Gloria went to work at the family dry cleaning business, Supreme Cleaners and later worked for several years at DTE in the cafeteria food service department. She enjoyed attending the sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible. With her husband Bob, they enjoyed the time they spent together as snowbirds in Palmetto, FL where she was a member of the Red Hat Society. Locally she was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and a former member of the Border Runners Car Club.
Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Denise (Jerry) Jenkins and Lisa (Joey) Weiss, both of Monroe; a brother, Daniel "Bud" (Phyllis) Hoffman of Maybee, MI; sister-in-law, Janice Hoffman of Maybee, MI; seven grandchildren: Janae (Dustin) Jones, Jessica (Marvin) Burt, Kayla (Brandon) Savage, Nichole (Jeremy) Bayer, Joey (Lexi) Weiss, McCall (Chad) Martin, and Riquel Weiss; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by five siblings: Russell (Alice) Boudrie, Harold Boudrie, Donald Hoffman, Dorothy (Art) LeVasseur, and Marge (Joe) Barnes; and great-grandson, Mazin Savage.
Family and friends may visit from 12 p.m. until time of funeral at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1st at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Christopher Lanham, Chaplain at Elara Caring Hospice will officiate. Cremation will follow in accordance with Gloria's wishes.
