Gladys L. Leaser Cawood Price, 96 years, of Monroe, Michigan passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Wellspring Lutheran Services (The Lutheran Home) in Monroe.
Born June 14, 1918 in Bay Harbor, OH Gladys was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Effie L. (Immel) Leaser. Gladys moved to Monroe in 1995 from North Carolina.
On May 12, 1956 she married Floyd J. Price. Sadly he preceded her in death on December 12, 1994. The couple made their home in North Carolina.
Gladys was a wonderful homemaker and a talented artist. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. Gladys was loved by family and friends. She had a very humorous personality and a smile that would brighten anyone's day.
Gladys is survived by two daughters: Janice L. (Michael) Fanola of Monroe and Lana J. Ohmer of Orange Park, FL. Four grandchildren: Bill and Keith Sheets, Cindy Hurst and Terry Hastings, and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Gladys was preceded in death by a son: James, Cawood, two grandsons: Michael Fanola and James Sheets, a granddaughter: Bonnie Jean England, a brother: Robert Leaser and a sister: Bernice Beck.
There will be no visitation or services in Monroe, she will be taken to Moore Funeral Home in Candler, NC, ( www.moorefh.net ). She will be interred next to her husband at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Candler.
The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan is assisting with local arrangements.
