Gertrude M. Bruck, age 84, of Maybee, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Fountain View of Monroe.
Gertrude was born April 15, 1937, in Monroe, she was the daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Eby) Bruck.
She was raised in Maybee on the family homestead where she still resided. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee (now Divine Grace Parish).
Gertrude was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary Academy and still met with her classmates once a month for lunch.
She had worked at La-Z-Boy and GM Willow Run Plant before taking a job at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor where she stayed until her retirement.
Gertrude was a member of Ash Township Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing euchre, gardening, and sewing. Through the years, she made clothing and many stuffed animals for her nieces and nephews and many quilts.
She is survived by her brother, Jerome (Linda) Bruck of Dexter; sisters-in-law, Aristine "Ernie" Bruck of Dundee and Alice Bruck of Carleton and many nieces and nephews and their families.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Henry, Frank Jr., Richard and William.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, 2021, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. She will lie instate at 10 a.m. Monday at Divine Grace Parish (St. Joseph Church Maybee) with a Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maybee.
