Geraldine E. Snow, 87 years, of Monroe, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 8:30 PM in Fountain View of Monroe.
Born October 23, 1925 in Williamsburg, Whitley County, KY, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Charles and Flossie (Davis) Hollors. Geraldine attended Lincoln Elementary School in Monroe. Geraldine wanted to receive her diploma so she went back to school and in 1988 graduated from Monroe High School's Adult Education Program.
On June 10, 1944 in Gainesville, TX, Geraldine married her beloved husband Jacob Snow. Sadly he preceded her in death on December 28, 1996 after 52 years of marriage.
Geraldine was a homemaker and a volunteer. She volunteered for the Alzheimer's Disease Support Group and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Geraldine enjoyed walking at the mall and embroidery.
Geraldine is survived by a sister Wilma Fox of Monroe, MI and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Geraldine was preceded in death by two daughters: Marilyn Snow and Cynthia Wells, a son in law: Charles Wells, and three sisters Ruby Weeman, Ruth Standifer, and Bette Brewer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-7 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161 where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Heath Hunter, associate pastor of North Monroe Street Church of God, will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
