Franklin William McColley, 77, of Monroe, died at 11:05 AM, Friday, October 27, 2006 in the VA Hospital, Ann Arbor. He had been in poor health since January and seriously ill since entering the hospital 4 months ago. He was born November 18, 1928 in Albany, OH to Herbert and Lewie (Hudnall) McColley. He served in the US Army from November 7, 1950 until August 9, 1952 when he was moved to the actives reserves until 1957. He moved to the Monroe Area in 1970 from Ohio, and at one time worked for Ford Motor Company in River Rouge. He was an auto mechanic at several local Ford dealerships, and was a truck driver for Reed Lines, Fostoria, OH. He retired in 1980. Since 1994 he had been a "flea marketer". He was a life member of the VFW Post #1138, Monroe, the Disable American Veterans, and a former member of the FOE #2254, Monroe. Sadly, his parents, a brother Stanley, and infant brother and 3 infant sisters all preceded him in death. There will be no visitation and graveside services will be held at Haning Cemetery, Albany, OH.
