Frances M. Riggs, age 85 of Monroe, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH.
Born July 27, 1939 in Monroe, Frances was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Cloum) Nisley. She graduated from Monroe High School and married Arnold Riggs on June 21, 1958 in Monroe. He preceded Frances in death on May 9, 1999.
Frances is survived by four children: Arnold Riggs of Monroe, Ronnie (Billie) Riggs of Florida, Julie Riggs of Monroe, and Jody Hess of Monroe; three sisters: Dorothy Webb of Michigan, Judy (Gary) Jones of Monroe, and Janice (Gary) Kull of Ida, MI; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Shane Iocoangeli and Amber West.
All are welcome to visit from 12 p.m. until service at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24th at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Massingill, pastor of North Monroe Street Church of God will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to any homeless shelter of the donor's choice.
