Faye S. Hill, 81 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 10. 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family, including her sister and best friend, Susan.
Born February 2, 1941 in Monroe, Faye was the daughter of the late William and Martha Claire (Shontz) Sharkey. She attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Monroe High School.
On June 20, 1959 Faye married her beloved husband James W. Hill at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Faye was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was former member the Monroe Golf and Country Club, where she volunteered during the lady's invitational. Faye was an active member of the Squaws of Indian Trails. As a Squaw, she organized and volunteered at many of the group's functions and parties for both the adults and kids. She also volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and The United Way. Faye, was first and foremost, a wonder homemaker and loved caring for her family.
Faye is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Jim, three loving daughters: Lesa C. (Wade) Rembowski of Monroe, Susan D. (John) Carr of Monroe, and Katie J. (Greg) Duvall of Newport, her sister, Susan (John) Bolin of North Carolina, seven cherished grandchildren: Paul Lee (Savanah) Wilder, James (Chelsea) Rembowski, Kyle Rembowski, Malarie Wilder, Cody Duvall, Courtney Duvall, and McCaulie Johnson, and seven treasured great grandchildren: Donovan, LeeAnna, Callie, Claire, Katlyn, Lincoln, and Ensley.
In addition to her parents, Fay was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Gosla, and a brother Jack Sharkey.
In keeping with Faye's wishes cremation will be held and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
