Obituary

Faye V. (Whited) Foster, 86 years of Monroe, MI, passed away peacefully into the Holy Presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday April 28th, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Faye was born to Claude and Julia (Robinette) Whited on July 2nd, 1938 in Virginia, the family moved to Monroe, MI in 1947.
Faye married the love of her life, David S. Foster in 1957. Together they were blessed with two children, David E. Foster and Julie A. (Dr. William) Parks.
Dave and Faye owned and operated Foster Realtors, Inc. in Monroe, MI for over 50 years. In addition to Dave being a licensed Real Estate Broker, Faye was a licensed Real Estate Salesperson and vice-president of the company. After retiring Faye and her husband Dave moved to Naples, Fl and purchased/operated Premier Title of Estero, FL. for many years.
After being in Florida (for the winter months), summers were spent at their home in Monroe with family and friends. Faye loved traveling and planning trips to Europe, China, Hawaii and various other locations in the USA.
Faye had many cherished memories from the numerous summer trips to Norris Lake in Tennessee for boating & water sports with her husband, Dave, and their children, David & Julie along with Faye's sister Wilma and her husband Jim Alban plus their two daughters, Angie (Alban) Hudkins & Shelly (Alban) Satran.
Faye was an active member of First Baptist Church of Monroe and First Baptist Church of Naples, FL. She served on committees, taught Sunday School, was a Deaconess, led Bible studies and assisted with an interdenominational youth group. Faye was also a member of Town & Country Garden Club, Republican Women, Thrift Shop in Monroe and various organizations and clubs in Naples, FL. Faye loved entertaining and planning parties for various groups. Faye enjoyed walking the beach in Naples, FL searching for shells. Faye's hobbies included; sewing, flower arranging, gardening and decorating. She also enjoyed baking & decorating birthday cakes and cooking.
Faye is survived by her children: David E. Foster and Julie A. (Dr. William) Parks, five grandchildren: Laura (John) Southerland, Timothy (Kayla) Foster, Lindsey Foster, and McKenzie (Chance) Larkins, and Kylie (Lauren) Parks, nine great grandchildren: Amalie, Max, Lachlan, Hadley, Haley, Kane, Zara, Kyler, and Eleanor, her sister, Wilma (Jim) Alban, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, brothers: Earl (Betty), Luther (Eva), Charles (Ella), sisters: Pauline (Fred) Kittle, and Hazel (Oliver) Anteau.
Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, is assisting the family with cremation and arrangements. Memorial visitation will be Friday May 9th, 2025 from 1 – 6pm with funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm that evening at the funeral home. Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate.
The family has requested donations be made to Heartland Hospice or God Works of Monroe.
