Faye Louise Blohm, age 89 of Monroe, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Born February 25, 1935 in Goshen, IN, Faye was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Marie (Shafer) Hoover. She graduated from Continental High School in Continental, OH and attended Stautzenberger College. She was then employed by Owens-Illinois in Toledo for seven years.
On September 23, 1961, she married Donald E. Blohm at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. Together they raised two children. He preceded Faye in death on February 13, 2022.
Faye was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aide, and Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority for 68 years. For her dedication, she was awarded the Torch Bearer Degree, the highest honor within the sorority.
Faye is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Phyllis) Blohm of Monroe and Joel (Anne Christman) Blohm of Lincoln, MI; a sister, Geneva Stearns of Defiance, OH; five grandchildren, Justin (Katelyn) Blohm of Estero, FL, Tyler (Ashley) Blohm of Monroe, Joshua (Elizabeth) Blohm of Cincinnati, OH, Sara (Max) Bradford of Traverse City, MI, and Aaron Blohm of Monroe; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Mia Blohm of Estero, FL.
In addition to her parents and husband, Faye was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Blohm.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12th at Bacarella Funeral Home. At 5 p.m., a memorial ritual will be led by members of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Faye will lie in state at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. The church pastor, Rev. Mark Witte will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church.
