Eva Soto, 61 years of Monroe, MI passed away, Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 3:35 AM at Arbors of Toledo Nursing Home in Toledo, OH. Eva had been in the nursing home and in declining health for 1 year. Eva was born August 26, 1945 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Lionol (Colon) Soto. She married Mercedes Fonseca in Pennsylvania. Sadly he preceded her in death in 1979. A homemaker Eva moved to Monroe in July of 1991. Eva was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Eva is survived by her beloved daughter Carmen Fonseca of Monroe and one cherished grandson, 6 brothers; Victor, Girberto, Teodoro, Elodio, Wilfredo and Andres Soto Colon, 7 sisters; Marguerita, Carmen, Aurora, Luz, Migdalia, Leticia, and Lydia Soto Colon. Eva was also preceded in death by a grandson Abel C. Rivera. Visitation for Eva will be held on Monday from 3-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
