Eunice Faye Shock, age 84, of Monroe, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Fountain View of Monroe.
Eunice was born March 27, 1940 in Monroe, she was the daughter of Amon Richard and Virgie (Patton) Welch. She married Harold J. Shock November 27, 1965 at United Brethern Church, Monroe, he preceded her in death November 7, 2017.
She was a 1958 graduate of Monroe High School and a member of Stewart Road Church of God. She had worked at Carriage Cleaners and One Hour Martinizing.
Eunice and Harold spent many years at their summer home at Sandy Pines, she looked forward to the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and going to church.
She is survived by two children, Randy S. (Julie) Smith of Orlando, FL and Tami R. (Rick) Simpson of LaSalle, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Charles Grant Smith; grandson, Jace A. Smith, three brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Rev. Brenda Jackson, Senior Minister for Stewart Road Church of God, will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stewart Road Church of God.
