Obituary

Eugene Thomas "Boss" Blackmore, 63 years, a life-long resident of Maybee, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
Born October 19, 1962, in Monroe, Eugene was the son of Timothy H. and the late Patricia A. (Bruck) Blackmore. Eugene attended elementary school at St. Joseph's in Maybee and graduated from Monroe Catholic Central in 1980.
On September 1, 1984, Eugene married his high school sweetheart, Marcia E. Ivester at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee, who sadly preceded him in death on February 10, 2002. Eugene found love again and married his beloved wife, the former Kimberly A. McCormick, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Carleton on April 24, 2004.
Eugene worked for Maybee Farmer's (Co-op) Inc., for over 40 years as the manager. Eugene was known for being busy and amongst many things, he was known for his pulled pork, roast beef and mac-n-cheese as he enjoyed cooking and catered on the side. He spent the winters providing snow removal for many of the local businesses in the Village of Maybee. He also was the owner of Michigan Farms, an agricultural trucking broker business.
Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family, brothers and friends. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davison Heritage Classic, spending time around the campfire at the cabin up north, "jammin" to his heavy metal rock music and cheering on his beloved "The" Ohio State Buckeyes!
Eugene is survived by his wife and cohort, "Kimmie"; four children: Rachel, Richard (Patrick), Brooke and Kathryn Blackmore; his father Timothy and two brothers Alan "Louie" (Joanne) and John Blackmore. In addition to his first wife, Marcia, and his mother Patricia, Eugene was preceded in death by his four-legged buddy, Cooper.
Family and friends may visit from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Bacarella Funeral Home.
