Esther M. Didario, 90 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 3:23 AM in Mercy Memorial Hospital. She had been in poor health for several years. Esther was born April 8, 1917 in Monroe, MI the daughter of the late Chris and Philomena (Vannelli) Didario. Esther was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy. Esther was employed as the office manager for the S.S. Kresge Co. in Monroe for 49 years retiring in 1982. Esther was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Monroe. She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, collecting newspaper clippings, supporting charities and visiting with friends and family. Esther is survived by her brother and sister in law Richard E. and Ann Didario of Monroe, MI and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Esther was preceded in death by 3 brother; Arthur, Peter and Joseph Didario and 4 sisters; Anna Bonifacio, Josephine Didario, Angeline Burdo and Alice Natalie. Visitation for Esther will be held on Wednesday from 1-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where a scripture service will be held at 6:00 PM. She will lie in state on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until Mass of the Resurrection celebrating her life at 10:00 AM. Fr. Jack Quinlan pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John The Baptist Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
