Emilio Diaz Morales, 73 years, of Newport, MI passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at 5:56 AM in Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe, MI.
Born June 21, 1938 in Florida Blanca Pampanga, Philippines, Emilio was the son of the late Gregorio and Emilia (Diaz) Morales. Emilio was a graduate of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades.
On August 26, 1964 Emilio married his beloved wife the former Marcela Gallardo in the Philippines. The couple moved to Monroe in 1994.
Emilio was employed in the housekeeping department at Mercy Memorial Hospital, from which he retired.
Emilio enjoyed watching and feeding wild birds, playing the piano and his guitar.
Emilio is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Marcela, his loving daughter and son in law Mary Josephine and Michael Miron of Newport, and 3 cherished grandchildren; MaryAnn Kile, Curtis Gene Kile Jr. and Zachary Miron. In addition to his parents Emilio was preceded in death by 3 children.
In keeping with Emilio's wishes cremation will be held and no services are planned. The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., is assisting with funeral arrangements.
